How to stop worrying what other people think about you
Are you someone who constantly worries what other people are thinking about you? Do you find it stops you taking action or missing out on opportunities because you are afraid that others won't approve or will judge you?
Here are my top tips for freeing yourself from the fear of judgment:
Don't jump to conclusions. You cannot assume you know what other people are thinking about you. You're not in their head, and and you're not a mind reader. You're just responding to your own thoughts about the situation.
Stop judging yourself. We tend to look for evidence from others to confirm our own beliefs about ourself. The judgement we fear is often a reflection of how we judge ourselves.
Stop judging others. The more we judge other people the more we believe we are being judged.
Use your worry as a guidance; is there something you need to accept or change? When you approve of yourself the opinions of others won't matter to you.
Remember that however others react, you are doing what's right for you.
Remember that it's never about you. Another person's judgment is a reflection of their own perceptions, fears and limitations.
Focus on your long-term happiness. Regret hurts more than judgement or criticism.
Approve of yourself. You are enough, and you do your best. We are all perfectly imperfect human beings, so show yourself some love and live life true to yourself!
Hypnotherapy is a wonderful way to let go of blocks and limitations and find the freedom to live your life the way you want to, regardless of how others feel. If you would like to explore this more, get in touch today for a friendly chat.
