You will never be free of anxiety
There, I’ve said it. You will never be free of anxiety. And actually, you never want to be, because it has its purpose. You need to know when you are facing a situation that is actually harmful to you.
But you can be free of that useless, unhelpful anxiety that has no purpose. That anxiety that keeps you trapped in a thought and holds you back from enjoying life and achieving all the things you want to achieve. You will be able to identify what is unhelpful anxiety, challenge it and then become more adept at letting it pass on by. You life will become calmer and happier, and you will find yourself open to new ideas and experiences.
Once you begin to master the Thought-Feeling connection you are equipped to understand it is not external events making you feel anxious - it’s simply what you are thinking about it. And I’m not going to lie to you - this knowledge isn’t going to magically make everything better overnight. It’s a skill you have to work at, and practice. But in doing so you are actively rewiring the neural pathways of your brain, and the more you do it, the easier it gets.
